Hannah Sherrod

Hannah Sherrod is a Data Scientist at The Moore Institute for Plastic Pollution Research and a recent graduate from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. She was involved in two research labs during her time at CSULB. One of the labs focused on studying microplastics in whale feces, and the other looked at carbon from plastic as related to climate change. Hannah is currently looking into graduate programs and intends to pursue a career studying microplastics in various environments and organisms. At the Moore Institute, Hannah will primarily be working on the Microplastics Data Portal Project, developing R Code to automate the analysis of microplastics data. She is currently working on developing maps and graphics of the data.
