Director of Operations
Position Overview
The Director of Operations is the organizational backbone of the Moore Institute — the person who ensures that systems are clear, tasks move forward, and leadership can focus on science, fundraising, and strategy.
This role blends administrative excellence with the use of smart technology. The ideal candidate is excited about using AI tools, automation, and digital systems to streamline workflows, support donor communications, maintain digital platforms, coordinate billing and funding timelines, and keep operations running smoothly.
This position will start part-time and likely grow to full-time or a salaried role over the next couple of years, as the organization expands due to the value this individual will add.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Able to work in the US legally
- 1 year of experience in operations work.
- Passion to do good for the environment and people.
- Takes pride in making things run smoothly behind the scenes
- Loves systems, structure, and smart automation
- Is tech-confident and familiar with AI tools
- Anticipates needs and follows through
- Communicates clearly and respectfully

- Deadlines and renewals are never missed
- Donor and communications systems stay organized

Compensation
- $25-30 hourly rate, depending on experience
- Sick leave
- Flexibility with fully remote, in-person, or hybrid options available, and the ability to set your own schedule
