High Throughput Micorplastic Analysis Workshop
The Moore Institute has identified a significant need in the microplastic research and lab community for opportunities to introduce people to high-throughput methods. As an ELAP-accredited microplastic research lab that has processed samples for dozens of clients, we know that every second and every percent of accuracy and precision counts. We have developed methods for every step from sample collection to analysis to streamline microplastic workflows. We decided to develop and host a workshop focused on high throughput and automation: From Sample to Spectra.
This 5-day course allows participants to gain hands-on experience in:
- Field sampling
- Identifying and classifying
- Sample preparation (plankton splitting, digestion, and density separation)
- FTIR, ATR, and RAMAN techniques
- Automated data analysis with Open Specy
